Gatka is a traditional Sikh martial art taught to children for self-defence and self-discipline purposes. It includes the use of various traditional weapons (nothing sharp is used for safety purposes) such as sticks, shields and chakris. Children learn the history of Gatka alongside the practical elements.


The Tabla is a traditionally used Indian musical instrument consisting of a pair of drums both different sizes. Many tunes can played and children are progressively taught various combinations of beats leading them to play ensembles independently.
